  • Construction paper
  • Googly eyes

Next, glue the other doily on top of the halved one.

Cut legs and feet from orange paper and glue to the bottom of the body, and cut a beak to glue near the top. Finally, glue a set of googly eyes.

Best Easter Crafts for Sunday School

Although Easter is often so exciting for children due to coloring and hunting Easter eggs, that doesn’t mean that they can’t have fun with Easter crafts that incorporate the story of Jesus behind this meaningful holiday. In the spirit of creativity and joy, here is a list of Easter crafts for Sunday school that do just that.

Paper Plate Easter Egg with Cross

This makes the list as one of the best Easter crafts for Sunday school because it combines children’s love of Easter eggs and the true meaning behind Easter Sunday.

Here are the materials you’ll need:

  • Paper plates
  • White glue
  • Colored paper
  • Q-tips (taped in bundles of varying numbers for “stamping” designs)
  • Washable paint
  • Scissors
  • Brads

Easter plate with cross easter craftsCut a small heart, a circle and a cross shape out of 3 different colors of paper and glue onto a paper plate (heart onto cross, cross onto circle and circle onto plate).

Then cut out an egg shape from another piece of colored paper and use various Q-tip stamps to dab designs on the egg before gluing to a second plate. From there, cut the egg plate down the middle of the egg.

Finally, connect the 2 halves of the egg plate to the cross plate using 2 brads at the bottom for children to open the egg and find the cross inside.

Tissue Paper Cross

Here are the materials needed:

  • Thin cardboard pieces like from a cracker or cereal box
  • White glue
  • Scissors
  • Multiple colors of tissue paper

For this kid’s crafts idea, first cut out a cross from the cardboard. Starting at the top of the cross, spread glue in a horizontal line. Then tear off a small piece of tissue paper, crumple it, and glue at the beginning of the line, continuing this process until the line of glue is covered. Next, squeeze another row of glue below the top line, crumple and glue, and so on until the cross is covered.

Stained Glass Cross

Here are the materials required:

  • Multiple colors of tissue paper cut into small squares
  • Various colors of construction paper or card stock
  • Wax paper (twice the size of a piece of colored paper)
  • White glue
  • Scissors
  • Popsicle sticks

First, spread glue on one half of the wax paper with popsicle sticks and glue tissue paper squares onto it. Then spread glue onto the other half, fold over onto the tissue paper side, flatten and allow to dry. In the meantime, cut out a cross shape from colored paper, and glue all along the perimeter of the cross. Glue the cross paper onto the wax paper and cut out the cross again, leaving a border around the “stained glass” cross to tape to a window.

Foam Cross Mobile

Here are the needed materials:

  • Foam sheets, colored paper and/or paper plates
  • Scissors
  • White glue
  • Washable paint
  • Small paint brushes (bristle or foam)
  • Hole punch
  • Yarn or thread

To begin this Easter arts and crafts project, cut small crosses from colored paper or foam sheets, as well as other shapes like flowers.

Decorate the crosses and other shapes with paint or glue smaller foam shapes onto them.

Then, cut a spiral out of foam or from a paper plate and punch a hole in one end, as well as several holes along the length of the spiral.

Finally, use the hole punch and yarn to attach the cutouts to the spiral and to make a loop at the top for hanging.

Encourage children to be creative with their cutouts to make shapes that remind them of Easter, such as decorated foam eggs, personalized Easter baskets or Easter flowers like tulips.

Some More of the Best Easter Crafts for Sunday School

These are only a few of the best Crafts for Sunday School. Other favorites include a beaded salt dough cross, salt dough empty tomb with angel and Christ is Our Light cups.

Also ensure that there is a piece under the flower that will hold a dab of hot glue for gluing to your egg, and make a dozen to share with friends or grandkids!

Next, glue the googly eyes to the jar and cut four small pink rectangles for whiskers to glue below the eyes. Finally, glue a pom-pom for the nose where the whiskers meet. Voila! Another gift for the grandkids or your assisted living pals!

Then, tie the loose ends into a bow and double knot to secure for hanging.

Felt Easter Eggs

Here are the accessories that will be needed:

  • Felt
  • Pom poms
  • Ribbon
  • Buttons
  • Rhinestones
  • Glue

Easter Crafts

This is one of the favorite craft ideas for kids of many families.

Simply trace and cut the Easter eggs from the felt and glue on the accessories to create a fun and festive design. Kids especially love the freedom to make up their own colors and styles.

Popsicle Stick Easter Bunnies

Here are the accessories that will be needed:

  • Large craft sticks
  • Acrylic pink paint
  • Small googly eyes
  • Pink pom poms
  • Pink and white foam sheets
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors
  • Black marker

Paint one side of the stick pink and while it is drying, cut 2 white ears, 2 white feet, and 1 white shape for the cheeks from the white foam. Then cut two pink circles for the feet and 2 small pink shapes for the inside of the ears from the pink foam.

From there, simply glue these pieces onto the proper location on the stick. Use the pop poms for the nose and draw a few whiskers on with the black marker.

Egg Carton Easter Bunnies

Here are the accessories that will be needed:

  • Egg carton
  • Black marker
  • Googly eyes
  • Masking tape
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Pink, yellow, and baby blue acrylic paint
  • White foam
  • Pink pom poms

As far as Easter crafts for preschoolers go, these might be the cutest. Cut two compartments from the egg container and trim off any excess as to make them flat-topped. Place a piece of masking tape on both the outside and inside where it can be opened but stays together. Paint the egg one of the colors from the list. After that, cut two bunny ears out of the white foam.

After the paint has dried, simply glue the ears on, as well as the pop poms for the nose. Fill it with a favorite Easter candy and watch the kids enjoy!

Easter Egg Slime

Here are the accessories that will be needed:

  • Food coloring
  • Elmer’s glue (white)
  • Contact lens solution
  • Glitter
  • Baking soda

This is very easy to make. Just mix the contact solution with the glue until the desired texture and consistency is reached. Then mix in the food coloring and place the slime inside plastic Easter eggs and watch the looks on the kid’s faces when they first open them! These are a lot of fun and very surprising when put in Easter baskets.

Paper Plate Easter Bunnies

Here are the accessories that will be needed:

  • Small paper plates
  • Construction paper (pink and white)
  • Pom poms
  • Googly eyes
  • Pipe cleaners

Take the pipe cleaners and twist them together to create the whiskers. The twisted part will be hidden under the pom pom nose. Then glue this to the paper plate so it has time to dry while cutting the ears out of the construction paper. Cut a slightly larger ear out of the white paper and a smaller pink ear (which is the inside of the ear) and glue the pink on top of the white.

Then simply glue the googly eyes and pom pom nose on. After that, draw a mouth with the marker and it’s all finished!

Other Easter Crafts for Preschoolers

There are several other Easter craft ideas that simply can’t be included due to article length constraints. Some of them include Easter bunny templates, salt dough Easter eggs, Easter chicks, and pop-up Easter bunnies, just to name a few

Easter Basket Ideas For Kids 2020

Easter Basket Ideas For Kids

Personalized Easter Baskets can be a great way to provide children with a variety of colorful Easter decorations.

To create these Easter baskets, children will first need to choose the theme and colors of the decorations. After choosing a theme, the child can move on to the colors and materials used in the creation of the basket.

Easter Traditions:

Traditions vary from one culture to another. Some traditions involve foods, such as leavened or breaded animals, while others feature symbols of the faith, such as the cross.

The traditions are often listed in order of earliest birth. Once this information is known, children can begin to consider the type of Easter basket they would like to make.

Traditional Easter Traditions:

Traditionally, Easter is celebrated by making homemade sweets using flour, eggs, sugar, and milk. Smaller children may be able to make their own small cakes, however, it is important to be careful when handling flour and eggs. Instead of spreading the egg mixture over the side of the pan, parents may want to place a baking dish over the pan and allow the mixture to cool before applying the batter to the pan.

Personalized Easter Baskets:

Children can use color and/or decorations to personalize Easter baskets. Many kids may prefer to decorate the basket with sand or dried flowers, while others may want to decorate the basket with a special decoration. Here are a few ideas for personalizing Easter Baskets for kids.

Heart Pattern: Children may have their own favorite cartoon characters and decorate the inside of the basket with some of their favorite cartoon images. They can also use decals to help them decorate the outside of the basket. When decorating the inside of the basket, they can place one of their favorite cartoons in the basket. Alternatively, children may choose from several popular cartoon characters for the decorations.

Easter Lilies: Children may choose from lilies, roses, and other flowers to decorate the outside of the basket. Lilies are a classic Easter flower choice. Easter lilies are especially beautiful during springtime. For Easter designs on the inside of the basket, children may use other flowers to decorate the outside of the basket. For Easter decorations on the outside of the basket, they may choose from any flower.

Eggs: Eggs can also be decorated on the outside of the basket. On the inside of the basket, children can use painted eggs as fillers. This makes an easy Easter decoration that is fun for the whole family.

Baskets for Specific Types of Easter Baskets: Children may choose a themed basket for their Easter celebration. There are many types of Easter baskets that children may choose from. They can choose from Easter baskets that feature animals, fish, or the alphabet. They can also choose from baskets that feature one of several themes.

Easter Pig Basket:

Children may choose from several different types of pig-themed Easter Baskets. To complete the design, they can select decorations, such as small gold coins, to add to the basket. Or, they may simply put the decorations on the outside of the basket.

Easter Bunny Basket:

To add even more fun to the design, children may choose from several different bunny-themed Easter Baskets.

These designs are usually drawn on the outside of the basket. There are also Easter baskets that include different themes.

Creating personalized Easter Baskets can be a fun project for kids. They can get creative and come up with unique ideas.

They will also enjoy working on a fun, and creative project.
